MFES Weekly Update

September 18, 2026

What a Week!

Another successful week!

What fun! This week we were honored to welcome Grandparents for breakfast or lunch on Monday! We had over 400 visitors!

This was also Homecoming week. The game is tonight at 7:30. Each day had a different dress-up theme, and our scholars did not disappoint! See some pictures below.

Our scholars earned six pie pieces this week to add to our school pie. Once it is full, the school will be rewarded! Keep encouraging them to be on their best behavior!

Today was our "Gold Out Assembly" to honor children who are survivors of childhood cancer. We are so thankful for the doctors working every day to help find a cure.

Please see the flyer below regarding IXL usage. Students may log in to their own devices at home to earn rewards at school!

Ms. Fholer is decorating the library with decorated tissue boxes! See the flyer below if you wish to participate.

Drop-off and pick-up have been going well. Please consider using the car line in the morning and afternoon. It helps with safety. The traffic pattern picture is also listed below. Some people are still not quite following the pattern.

Read-a-Thon

Read-A-Thon has officially ended.

Sophia Gonzales from Mrs. Klein's first-grade class was our top money-maker.

Daniel Williams from Mrs. Hughes's third-grade class logged the most minutes, with over 1000 minutes.

Mrs. Hughes's class logged the most minutes, with almost 3000.

and......

Mrs. Vasquez's Pre-K 3 classroom was the top earner, raising $880.00.

Overall, MFES logged over 19,000 minutes and raised over $10,000.00.

Way to go, Marble Falls Elementary School!

Pastries with the Principal

Last year's parent survey indicated that parents would like more communication from the MFES administration. Some comments focused on learning more about the school's goals.
In response, I implemented a "Pastries with the Principal." This was meant to share information about the school and establish open communication.
Below is a picture of how many parents attended.
I would love some feedback. I want to meet our community's needs, but I also don't want to set aside an hour and buy goodies if it's not wanted.

Important Reminders

Please make sure that you drop your students off in the car line and let us know if their home transportation arrangements change for the day. We still have several students being walked across the parking lot in the mornings. This is not safe. I ask that you drive through the car line and allow us to help them out of the car if needed.

Attendance is vital to a student's success. Please ensure that your student attends school each day they are well. A doctor's note is required to excuse an absence.
